Our season opened with a bang!

Our season opened with enthusiastically received concerts: DSE Presents on Sunday, October 14 with “Dolce Suono Trio Classics and Commissions”. The trio (Mimi Stillman, flute, Nathan Vickery, cello, and Charles Abramovic, piano) performed works by Mendelssohn, Martinu, a new arrangement of Bernstein’s “Candide” overture by Charles Abramovic, and DSE commissions by Zhou Tian and Jeremy Gill, who introduced his piece. Dolce Suono Trio also performed live on WRTI Radio and did a performance and masterclass at Franklin & Marhall College in Lancaster, PA.

On Wednesday, October 24, we launched “Fall for Chamber Music” with a free concert at the Free Library. The capacity crowd enjoyed a program of works by Mozart, Schubert, Boccherini, Brahms, Fauré, and Carrilho, including winners of our Chamber Music Top Twenty poll. The artists: Mimi Stillman, flute, Ricardo Morales, clarinet, Amy Oshiro-Morales, violin, Brandon Garbot, violin, Che-Hung Chen, viola, Arlen Hlusko, cello, Mary Javian, double bass, Charles Abramovic, piano, and Gideon Whitehead, guitar.
