Rave Reviews
April 27th, 2015
Dolce Suono Ensemble’s performance for Curtis Presents with Thomas Shivone, bass-baritone, and the Dover Quartet received rave reviews in the press. The program was a celebration of our 10th anniversary season and the great tradition of composers from Curtis, with music by Samuel Barber, Ned Rorem, DSE commissioned composers and Curtis professors Richard Danielpour, Jennifer Higdon, and David Ludwig, and world premieres by Katerina Kramarchuk and Zhou Tian. DSE artists Mimi Stillman, Gabriel Cabezas, and Charles Abramovic performed, and composers Danielpour, Higdon, Ludwig, Kramarchuk, and Zhou introduced their pieces.
