Press for DSE’s “Mozart and Schubert Spring Festival”

We brought our 2011-2012 season to an exciting close last Sunday, June 3 with our “Mozart and Schubert Spring Festival.” We were delighted to luxuriate in the music of Mozart, Schubert, and Beethoven for this program of lieder, arias, and chamber music. We the performers enjoyed the conviviality among our group of core DSE artists. Cellist Priscilla Lee, pianists Charles Abramovic and Jeremy Gill, and I performed with baritone Brian Ming Chu, a rich-voiced, expressive, and gracious artist. Steven Stucky’s arrangements of Mozart arias and Schubert’s Erlkönig are a wonderful addition to the chamber repertoire. We were gratified by the enthusiasm of our large crowd, and enjoyed speaking with audience members at the post-concert conversation.
