DSE welcomes Celina Vélez to its Board of Directors

Dolce Suono Ensemble is pleased to welcome Celina Vélez to our Board of Directors. Currently Music Director at Cayuga Elementary in Philadelphia, Ms. Vélez is an experienced music teacher, violist, and arts community leader. We’ve worked with her on our “Música en tus Manos” project exploring the chamber and popular music of Latin America and engaging Philadelphia’s Latino community in chamber music, since we began the project in 2012.

Celina Vélez was named to Yamaha’s “40 Under 40” honor list, celebrating excellence in music teaching, in 2021. See her page at the Yamaha Educator Suite here.
