Dolce Suono Ensemble to Receive $10,000 Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts

Philadelphia, PA – National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $80 million in grants as part of the NEA’s second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2018.  Included in this announcement is an Art Works grant of $10,000 to Dolce Suono Ensemble for “Rediscoveries: Festival of American Chamber Music,” a project focusing on excellent and often underrepresented chamber music by American composers from the 20th-21st centuries, to take place during the 2018-2019 season.

“We are deeply honored to have been awarded this Art Works grant from the NEA for our project Rediscoveries: Festival of American Chamber Music,” said DSE Artistic Director Mimi Stillman. “Thanks to the NEA, we will be able to realize our artistic vision for this exciting project which combines performances and talks by DSE core artists and distinguished guests in shedding light on an important area of American chamber music.”
