The inaugural concert of our new co-presented series Dolce Suono Ensemble at Arthur Ross Gallery at the University of Pennsylvania was a stunning success! Mimi Stillman and Allen Krantz performed a flute and guitar recital in conjunction with the exhibition Auguste Rodin: The Human Experience on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. They delighted a capacity audience with music of Massenet, Fauré, Debussy, Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, and University of Pennsylvania-connected composer George Rochberg, who was distinguished professor of composition, and Daniel Dorff, who studied with Rochberg for his Ph.D. at U. Pennsylvania. At the concert, Dorff introduced his piece Serenade to Eve, after Rodin, perfectly apropos.
