March 31 “Fall for Chamber Music” Cancelled

Dear friends,
We are writing to let you know that our “Fall for Chamber Music” concert and conversation on Tuesday, March 31 at Christ Church has been cancelled in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We were looking forward with great anticipation to this event at which Mimi Stillman, flute, and the Jasper String Quartet were to perform works by Mozart, Kuhlau, a world premiere by Benjamin C.S. Boyle, and a Philadelphia premiere by Fang Man with the musicians doing narration as part of DSE’s “The Season of the Word.” In the current state of national emergency and the crucial efforts to contain the pandemic, our top priority must be to protect our artists and audiences. The spirit of “Fall for Chamber Music” is one of enthusiasm and sharing, as we invite the community to fall in love with chamber music at free events at Philadelphia’s civic spaces. We cannot wait to reschedule this event and continue this project with you when it is safe to do so.
