June: Music in the Second Capital + Season Preview

Join us for “Music in the Second Capital” and other events in June!
Dolce Suono Ensemble’s “Music in the Second Capital” project is an exploration of the musical tastes of the Founding Fathers and music culture in Philadelphia in the late colonial and early republic period. With performances in June and October, the project is made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts through its Art Works “Imagine Your Parks” initiative with the National Park Service.
- Music of Corelli, Handel, J.C. Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Pleyel, Hopkinson, and more
- The artists include Mimi Stillman, flute, William Polk, violin, Kerri Ryan, viola, Arlen Hlusko, cello, and Gideon Whitehead, guitar, Charles Abramovic, piano
