Dolce Suono Ensemble Performs at Hispanic Choice Awards Tonight!

We are excited to perform at the Hispanic Choice Awards in Philadelphia tonight. The only classical music group invited to perform, we are playing Telemann and Piazzolla at the red-carpet, televised event. We were chosen to be part of the show after we won the Knight Arts Challenge for our “Música en tus Manos” (Music in your Hands) outreach project with the Latino community of Philadelphia.

The Latino community of Philadelphia is sizeable but it is underserved by the city’s chamber music organizations. For “Música en tus Manos,” we have teamed up with organizations within the Latino community to integrate people of all ages into the music, giving them a platform to interact with the artists and explore their own musical talents. By putting music in their hands, each person will find his or her own musical voice.

But we cannot make this fantastic impact on people’s lives without your support. We need to match the Knight Arts Challenge grant in order to receive the funds to realize the project. Please visit our “Música en tus Manos” project page to learn more and contribute!
