Congratulations to Our Winners!

Dolce Suono Ensemble is pleased to announce the winners of its Steven Stucky Young Composers Competition. Through this competition, we honor the memory of Steven Stucky, the Pulitzer Prize-winning composer who was a member of our Board of Advisors and a great friend and mentor to our ensemble.
The theme of the competition is “Encores”, to which the applicant composers brought their individual musical voices. We appreciate the very high level of submissions we received and congratulate our four winners:

Dolce Suono Ensemble will premiere the winning works on the Dolce Suono Ensemble Presents series concert on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 7:00pm at Gould Rehearsal Hall, Lenfest Hall, Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia.
The program will also include works by Steven Stucky: Aus der Jugendzeit, which DSE commissioned and premiered during out Mahler 100 / Schoenberg 60 project in 2011, and Cantus, which will receive its Philadelphia premiere.
