DSE is grateful to the William Penn Foundation for making possible this cycle of Música en tus Manos through a two-year project grant. DSE’s award-winning project highlights Latin American chamber and popular music and engages Philadelphia’s Latino communities. We launched Música en tus Manos in 2012, won the Knight Arts Challenge for the project in 2013, the same year Dolce Suono Ensemble was the classical group invited to perform at the Hispanic Choice Awards. We have presented the project every year, working with partner organizations and schools in Philadelphia’s Latino communities.
