DSE Presents “Great Arrangements” on December 8!

The program features our internationally celebrated artists works by Bach, Mozart, Piazzolla, and Tajevic – all in versions that are arrangements, not the originals. Selections from Bach’s piano masterwork Goldberg Variations will be heard for string trio in an arrangement by the violinist/conductor Dmitri Sitkovetsky. Mozart’s Quintet for Piano and Winds, K. 452, will be heard in Dolce Suono Ensemble’s own version for flute, clarinet, viola, cello, and piano. They will perform selections from Astor Piazzolla’s tango opera María de Buenos Aires in an arrangement by Tim Ribchester. DSE pianist Charles Abramovic’s colorful arrangement of Seven Balkan Dances by Marko Tajčević, the Serbian pianist and composer, rounds out this inventive program.
